American Association of Blacks in Higher Education (AABHE)
The American Association of Blacks in Higher Education (AABHE) is an outgrowth of the Black Caucus, which was a component of the former American Association of Higher Education (AAHE). As such, AABHE has rich history of representing blacks in high er education on a national level.
National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSE)
The National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSE) is the nation's premiere non-profit organization devoted to furthering the academic success for the nation's children - particularly children of African descent.
National Council on Educating Black Children (NECBC)
National Council on Educating Black Children (NCEBC) is a premier non-profit and civil rights organization with a distinguished focus on improving educational opportunities and outcomes for African American children. By galvanizing “coalitions of the willing”, NCEBC is aggressively implementing solutions that elevate communities by empowering stakeholders who are ready to “take responsibility” for their villages.
NAFEO (National Association for Equal Opportunity in Higher Education)
NAFEO was founded to provide an international voice for the nation's HBCUs; to place and maintain the issue of equal opportunity in higher education on the national agenda; to advocate policies, programs and practices designed to preserve and enhance HBCUs; and to increase the active participation of blacks at every level in the formulation and implementation of policies and programs in American higher education.
The National Urban League is a historic civil rights organization dedicated to economic empowerment in order to elevate the standard of living in historically underserved urban communities. Founded in 1910 and headquartered in New York City, the N ational Urban League spearheads the efforts of its local affiliates through the development of programs, public policy research and advocacy.
White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities
Its mission is to strengthen the capacity of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to provide excellence in education.
